Classroom Environment

There are a number of proactive behavior management strategies that teachers and parents can use to support students’ needs.  When implemented correctly and consistently, these proactive strategies can prevent certain maladaptive behaviors from occurring in the first place.  One key area of consideration is the classroom environment – its physical arrangement, as well as the expectations, routines, and structure put into place starting on the first day of school.
